True Enlightenment  is an Advent and Christmas series that’s adaptable for use in all kinds of churches, highly invitable, and full of the great news about Jesus.

The series explores how Jesus brings true light into the world – indeed is the light of the world – bringing everything into perspective: God, others and us ourselves. It unpacks what it means to step into the light and to be bearers of it.

This resource includes five sermon outlines (four Sundays of Advent, each according to their traditional themes of Hope, Peace, Joy and Love, plus Christmas Day). There’s also a set of scripts for a simple skit that could be used during the services (4 episodes over 4 Sundays). Of course, don’t feel bound to any of these resources – discard or adapt elements as you see fit according to your own context.

Also included is a whole suite of artwork, designed by Bronwyn Parker. It is easily customisable (using Microsoft PowerPoint in the absence of something fancier) to include your church details and service times etc. There are postcards, social media tiles and posters for invitation and promotion, as well as presentation slides for use during services.
